Hi All, yesterday I purchased a Yaesu ftm310Drasp. I downloaded the user manuals last night and I can’t find a procedure to put the radio in cross band repeater function. As this is a dealbreaker for me, can anyone confirm this function is available?
GigaParts confirmed the FTM310Drasp does indeed do cross band repeat. ![]()
It might be similar to the FTM-150R.To activate the undocumented cross-band repeat function on the Yaesu FTM-150R, turn the radio off, press and hold the Function (F) / PMG key while turning the radio back on.
How to Set Up Cross-Band Repeat
- Set your frequencies: Configure the receive and transmit bands/frequencies on your Left and Right VFOs or memory channels before activating the mode. Ensure any necessary CTCSS/PL tones are properly matched for your handheld (HT) or remote side. [1]
- Power on into mode: Hold the designated F/PMG button down while flipping the power switch/turning on the transceiver.
- Verify operation: Test the cross-band repeating functionality carefully with a secondary local radio before leaving the transceiver unattended.
Steps to Enable Crossband Repeat
- Step 1: Set your desired VFO frequencies and configure any necessary repeater offsets or CTCSS/DCS tones on the left and right bands before proceeding.
- Step 2: Turn the radio off completely.
- Step 3: Press and hold down the GM (Group Monitor), DISP (Display), and F (Function) buttons at the same time.
- Step 4: While holding those three buttons, turn the power on.
- Step 5: Release the buttons once the Yaesu logo appears and the display indicates that crossband repeat mode is active.
How to Turn It Off
- Turn the radio off, then repeat the exact same button-hold combination (GM, DISP, and F while powering on) to exit crossband repeat mode.
