Waterfall level control

Hi, this is about the Yaesu FT – 710 level control, which controls the intensity of the scope/waterfall. I like this feature and I’m thinking of getting an icom 7300 mk2.

Question: does the icom 7300 and/or the new Mk2 have a waterfall scope level control similar to the Yaesu 710?

@Gary_Anderson

The Icom IC-7300 doesn’t have a single “Waterfall Gain” knob, but you control its level and appearance via the Spectrum Scope Settings Menu (hold EXP/SET), specifically the Waterfall Peak Color Level (adjusts signal-to-color mapping, lower grid numbers = more sensitive/brighter weak signals) and the Reference Level (shifts zero point), plus RF Gain for overall receiver sensitivity. The Icom 7300 offers a more intuitive, touch screen driven waterfall making it more user friendly than the FT-710 which is more menu driven using “Function/Color 10” setting for a similar look. In short, the Icom 7300 has a better waterfall look than the FT-710. The 7300MK2 is the same, with better resolution due to the larger screen.
