I have a Yaesu FT-710 radio. I am considering using the gutter around my house as I live in HOA. I watched a video on connecting the radio to the gutter using the URT-1. Would i still use the internal tuner or use the tuner on the radio? Also considering getting a Greyline Flagpole antenna and wondering if the URT will work with those antennas. Any help appreciated.

The URT-1 is a military grade tuner and is superb! It will tune an swr of over 30:1. When using this tuner you would not use your internal antenna tuner in your FT-710, as this is your tuner. The URT will work with any tuner and will do a superb job with a wire antenna or a Greyline Flagpole antenna. It is one superb unit! Here is the manual
