Replacement section for POTA33 mast

Just a note to let you know that the drop-down field on the order form for a replacement part for the POTA33 mast (the tip) is displaying as $13.95 but the price (when I add it to the cart) is now $19.95.

@David_Baker The website displays the base price (lowest priced item offered) and then adds the amount shown for the item you select. The base price is $6.95, the section you desire is $13.95, = the $19.95 in the cart.

Thanks, Ms. Stephens!

This is, of course, my opinion, but as a customer it is confusing and not helpful for me to have it broken down into a base price and an additional price component like that.

In fact, it makes me as a customer agitated that the little parts (which are the ones most likely to break) have such a large additional amount, compared to the larger parts.

I saw the “+” but it wasn’t clear to me that it had the intended meaning you’ve described.

And perhaps the clarity of the form is important because the customer perhaps already is agitated that the expensive mast broke in the first place (whether or not it’s the customer’s fault). I know I am – it’s the second time I’ve needed to replace the most expensive segment. So a surprise ($19.95? I thought it was $13.95) may be especially jarring for some customers. I know it was for me ("well, shoot, it’s $20 rather than the bargain $6.95 for a piece that doesn’t seem likely to break, plus a $15 shipping cost to bring this little 3-piece segment up to $35 at the end of the day, etc.).

That’s some feedback which I hope is useful. Of course, none of this is the end of the world, and I’m not implying any bad faith or negligence on the part of GigaParts, but I think it’s important that GigaParts get this feedback. I hope to see your company continue to thrive. Great folks, great stuff.

Thanks again for writing,

Dave Baker
