VHF/UHF antennas come in the NMO (New Motorola) base, and a UHF style base. The antenna base MUST match the mount base or type. In other words, you need an NMO mount for an NMO base antenna. A UHF base mount is sort of like the coax connector on the back of your HF radio. Be sure when you get your mobile antenna, it’s base matches the mount you select.
