I purchased two antennas, (your #SKU: ZRW-DX80SHPL ) from the manufacturer. The first loading coil broke after a couple of years. I tried to get a replacement loading coil by contacting the manufacturer. I called, and he said to send the coil in and they would fix it. (He said his wife did the windings).
So, I sent the coil form in, and never heard back from them. After a month or so, I called them and was told they never got it/didn’t know anything about it. (I sent it by Fed Ex, I know that they got it).
I finally just ordered another entire antenna to get another loading coil.
It’s been around two years now and the second loading coil has broken. So I attempted to call the manufacturer, but their phone number (listed on their website) no longer works. I tried to email multiple times, no responses at all.
So now I need another loading coil (if possible 2). At this point, I simply can’t justify purchasing a third complete antenna just to get a loading coil.
So, I am reaching out to you for help. I am asking if you could give the actual L value in microhenrys. Or, even the actual outside diameter of the coil form, the gauge of wire, and the width of the actual winding itself. With that information, I can get another made. In the alternative, if I could purchase a loading coil, that would take care of my issue as well.
I am disabled and can’t repeatedly climb up and down like I did when I was much younger. Any help would be appreciated.
