Quick deploy qrp antenna suggestions

hello everyone, I’m doing a comeback to old hobby and I’ve just picked up an ic-705 and putting some equipment together. I’m more kind of an listener and freq hunter. I’m looking into an antenna for listening side. Any suggestions ?

Good Morning @San_Alp_Ilter
Is this for inside or outside use? For quick deployment outside I suggest our line of Chameleon Antennas. designed for the military and are a well respected company. Here is the link.

POTA Antennas are perfect for your needs. Here is the link to the POTA (Parks on the Air) antenna.

POTA Antenna

You would need coax with this antenna and here is my suggestion.

POTA Coax Link

this will give you many hours of FUN. To tune all the bands provided you would need a tuner. If you can provide me with the manufacturer of the radio I can suggest a tuner for you.

Thanks for shopping Gigaparts!

Additionally, I would recommend an antenna tuner like the AH-705

Icom AH-705 Antenna Tuner | GigaParts.com or the LDG Z 100 Plus LDG Electronics Z-100Plus 125W Automatic Antenna Tuner | GigaParts.com

Use of an external tuner will improve any antenna you select as well as let you use an end fed long wire or end fed half wave antenna that are easy to deploy and cover multiple bands.

Another easy antenna to use with a tri-pod is a rotatable dipole made with the Intellitron AA-1602 Intellitron AA-1602 Dipole Antenna Mounting Bracket | GigaParts.com and two hamsticks for the same band. These can be mounted on the Intellitron or Comet tri-pod stands and rotated for maximum signal.
