Can anyone tell me what the narrow strip of polypropylene is for in the WP-6601 kit? I don’t see any mention of it in the instructions. Thank you.

I believe you are referring to the weather stripping used to seal any gaps with the window frame. This is used on the inside of the window. There should be 8 feet of arctic weather stripping.
No, I know what the adhesive foam weather stripping is for. I’m referring to a 1-inch wide strip of rigid poly, the same length as the piece the connectors are mounted on. There is no mention of it in the instructions.
There is nothing else listed in the included parts or the manual.
I know. That’s why it is confusing. Oddly though, if you look at the product images on the Gigaparts website, they show the strip in the fourth image (see below).
I received a reply from Kyia today. She confirmed that this narrow strip can be used to seal the small gap at the top of the window where the two sliding window sections meet. I wanted to update with this information in case anyone else had a similar question.
