I am new to the ham radio hobby and am getting ready to pull the trigger on a ICOMM IC 7300 MK2 and other goodies to get a base station rolling. Along with the ICOMM radio I am looking at an antenna for this new radio. Is the Hustler G6-144B a compatible antenna for use with this radio and is so what type of cable is needed to connect the radio to the antenna and/or adapters?

The G6-144B antenna is a 144 MHz only antenna the iCOM IC-7300Mk2 does NOT cover this band. If you are looking for a vertical antenna that will cover all of the Ham Bands that the Mk2 will transmit on I would recommend a Comet CHA-250HD. End Fed Half Wave (EFHW) are a good substitute as well providing that you have the room to put one up. Jim, K6BPT
