How would I mount a Hustler 6-BTV 6 Band Vertical HF Fixed Station Antenna 10- into the ground what would I need.
@Walter_Dodson
You should get a steel pipe, 1 1/2 in in diameter and about 4 feet long. You can pound this into the ground and leave about 18 inches above the ground. The 6BTV comes with two U bolts. These go around the pipe on the bottom of the 6BTV and around your pipe in the ground.
Alternatively, you may want to use the Intellitron Tilt Base Intellitron AB-1612 Universal Antenna Tilt Base Intellitron AB-1612 Universal Antenna Tilt Base – Durable & Safe | GigaParts.com to mount to your pipe pounded into the ground. This will enable you to raise or lower your vertical antenna.
You may want to also use some additional radials or radials connected to copper ground rods. Don’t forget that you 6BTV connects to coax with the ring terminal set.
