Kmr400 cable issues

Greetings all, I hope you all can help me. I thought i was saving a few pennies by buying KMR400 cable instead of LMR400 cable. Newbee mistake I think. My compression pl259 connectors don’t fit. The outer sleeve is just a smidge too large and the center stranded signal copper line is way to large for the 10mm pl259 connectors. I would have to remove one or maybe even two strands to make it fit into the center pin but even so the out cover doesn’t fit.

Has any body had success with the M&P 10mm compression pl259 connectors on kmr400 cable? Should I go up to 13mm? Interestingly, I was able to attach N male compression connectors without an issue by removing one strand from the cable core. I don’t have an M&P 259’s to try. i thought I check with you all first before spending any more money.

I’m looking forward to advice from you all on this challenge. Thanks and 73

@Charles_Thompson Many customers using the Times Microwave LMR400 have had success with the Messi Paoloni 13mm connector, UHF-13M-EVO-MP. Although the 10mm connector has been successfully used with cables like the regular RG-213 and RG-8, the LMR400 cable series is a tad thicker, making the 10mm connector more challenging to install. Welcome to the hobby!
