Intellitron WM-1001D SWR/Power Meter Display - PEP or Average or ? Watts?

What type of power is displayed by the Intellitron WM-1001D SWR/Power meter?

Is it PEP or avergae?

My radio is set at 100W and the power meter on it is indicating 100W output but my Intellitron WM-1001D meter the wife just bought me is only indicating 70W. My VHF/UHF radio also reads around 70.7% of the rated output. All the measurements is displays appear to be low in the same manner as though it has been calibrated for average power or RMS (70.7%) rather than PEP power.

The SWR indications and the FWD vs REF power indications are accurate and read good. No SWR above 2.0 on any of my antenna systems. I run a Yaesu FT-891 transceiver through a DX Commander Classic resonant on all bands (40m/30m/20m/17m/15m/12m/10m) tuned for band center frequency. I also have a Kenwood TM-D710GA feeding a Comet CX-333 triband antenna 30 feet up on TM LMR-400 coax with N connectors.

I suppose I SHOULD borrow a friend’s known good meter and see the tale that it tells.
