My friend purchased a Intellitron DM-5299 for me in at the store during the 2026 hamfest. I connected the mic using the DMC-5290MX cable plugged into the Yaesu port and the output switch selected to “C”. The label end of the cord is plugged into the radio mic input.
When I key the mic a loud hash noise is transmitted and the audio is distorted regardless of setting on the mic. The up and down buttons work as they should and everything else appears to be functional just the loud hash noise.
Any suggestions are welcome.
