Looking for some feedback on this microphone. Plan on using for DX and local VHF UHF. I have a Yaesu FT-897D and want to know if anyone has a opinion on this mike or should I just buy a Yaesu desktop mic….Thank you Mike W7MTV
@michael_vanore I asked a friend who uses it and he said: I have used this mic with Kenwood and Yaesu radios. I was very impressed with the depth of sound and the presence factor. It was better sounding than either factory mic. I did not use the equalizer, as I thought it sounded better without it, or very minimal improvement for my particular voice. As I have two radios, I put one into a dummy load and listened to myself with headphones into the other radio. We hope this is helpful information!
