Icom 2730 B questions

hello there Im looking to purchase an ICOM 2730 B, My question is with the mod you offer will it allow to tx in the GMRS frequencies too ? if so do I need 2 separate antenas ? Im using this for offroading and some groups use GMRS and some use VHF 50 watt . also how easy or hard is to program this radio ? thank you

@Luis_Pedroza Here is a link: GMRS Transceivers & Handheld Radios

The Icom 2730B is an amateur radio, designed for FCC Part 97 specifications for amateur radio use. Usage of the Icom 2730B for GMRS would not fit the guidelines. An amateur radio license is required for transmitting on the IC-2730B.
The MARS CAP modification we perform is usually for licensed operators from the Military Auxiliary Radio Service (MARS) or Civil Air Patrol (CAP). It is the responsibility of each radio operator to make sure they are in compliance with FCC regulations regarding frequency usage, power output, and accepted equipment.

The MOD is not too access GMRS. It is an Amateur Radio. The MOD is for us that need access other frequencies for emergency services. Buy the correct GMRS Radio to speak to them.
