Does anyone know if the current FTX-1 Optima and Field radios have the up to date firmware in them?

All units are produced in high volume production. All manufactures send their dealers the current firmware units they have in stock. All units are designed to be consumer friendly for upgrading firmware.
GigaParts does offer Firmware Upgrade for the FTX-1 Optima for $34.95. Should you desire this service add a note to your order that says APPROVE FIRMWARE UPGR $34.95 and our team will add that to your order. Our tech services are given a priority and generally ship same day, but please allow 1-2 business days, depending on the current volume. You will automatically receive a tracking email the evening that it ships.

@Wayne_Stephens You are welcome! It is rare that we get an inquiry to do a firmware upgrade, but we can offer it as a service. Price could vary according to model of the unit. If the unit did not need an upgrade the fee would still apply because of the extra work involved in pulling from warehouse to technician, technician’s time to check the unit, etc.
