I am interested in this type broadband antenna for MARS use however I would like it to do at least 1KW and preferably 1500W. Longer is OK also.
Hi Les,
Have you looked at the Palomar line? I suggest the
Palomar Engineers 80-6m OCF Dipole Antenna - 1.5kW Power GigaParts.com
- Covers 80-40-30-20-17-15-12-10-6 meter ham bands
- SWR < 2:1 on most bands, may require antenna tuner 80, 40 for full band use
- 500 watts/1.5KW/5KW PEP (SSB-ICAS) options
- Stainless Steel hardware for long life
- Halyard Hoist for ease of installation
- Insulated #14 wire for durability
- High Strength insulators (may be black, white or gray)
- 4:1 Balun and 1:1 Choke included in a single enclosure
I would suggest a tuner on 80 to get both 75 and 80m
Be sure and scroll down the antenna page for complete description.
Just click on the big BLUE bar that says add to cart then go to your cart to arrange shipping and payment? I used that antenna here and was well pleased.
Thanks for shopping Gigaparts!!

Not sure how much space you have, but you may want to also consider Radiowavz High Power antennas (HP), the DX-160 (High Power) and the DX–80 (HIgh Power). You probably will also need an antenna tuner to operate outside the amateur bands on multiple bands. The very best auto tuner for your needs is the Palstar HF-Auto. Thanks for being a MARS member!
