I am trying to purchase an item for my elderly father who currently has an AMPKEYER that needs replacement. He has a YAESU FT-900 and Kenwood TL-922A if that helps. I am looking at the Intellitron ARI-800 as a replacement to his AMPKEYER. First question is this the item I need to purchase to be compatible with his setup? Second, does he need a new cable and if so which one is compatible? ARI-8DY or something else if its even required? Thank you so much for the help…

Yes, you are correct. The ARI-800, along with the ARI-8DY, is what is needed to use with the amplifier for a plug-and-play setup with the FT-900. Both items are currently in stock.
