First of all the FT-DX101D is only an HF/50mhz radio that does not cover 2m and 70 cm. The antenna you select depends on how much space you have and what bands you want to use. Remember an antenna for 160M is 256 feet long, 80 meters is 126 feet long, and a 40 meter dipole is 67 feet long. Most all band vertical antennas are 23 feet high. Generally a wire antenna, an end fed half wave, off center fed dipole, long wire, or dipole, if situated properly, is your best multiband solution. If you are fortunate enough to be able to use a Tri-Band rotatable beam, then that is an ideal solution for 20, 15, 10, etc.
